School and community partners are continually sought out to provide feedback and input related to program and candidate quality, both formally and informally each semester, each quarter, and at some annual events. All stakeholders have an important voice in the decision making related to our educator prepraration programs at Buffalo State College.
Each year we share and update our Teacher Education Unit Annual Measures via our public website.
(1) Via TEU Common Assessments and Surveys: Employer Surveys are deployed once per year to principals and other district administrators. Final Practicum Evaluations are completed by mentor teachers/leaders during clinical experiences each semester.
(2) Via Formal & Informal Feedback Sessions: During quarterly advisory council meetings (i.e., TEUPAC and Exceptional Education Advisory Council as well as other program-level partnership activities).
(3) Via Professional Development Schools Consortium Events: The Annual PDS Conference as well as quarterly partner professional development events; Focus groups and discussions are conducted during these events. PDS events updated here.
The GAPP instrument is shared at each gathering and stakeholders are asked to respond to the following:
Data gathered via the GAPP questions are reviewed monthly by the TEU Assessment Committee and action plans are created, as needed.
The DIFF is distributed to all stakeholders following each meeting or event where assessment data are shared.
