Taskstream is the cloud-based, assessment management system selected by Buffalo State to house assessment and reporting documents and data, and to assist in program improvement. All Teacher Education Unit students are required to submit designated assignments in Taskstream (in addition to Blackboard, or any other system required by the instructor). Taskstream accounts are paid for by student technology fees and do NOT require additional funds. Please see the help documents below.

*Teacher candidates must submit a survey in Taskstream, at the end of each placement, in order for the Supervisor to complete the Practicum/Student Teacher Evaluation in Taskstream.
Beginning Fall 2023 according to New York State Education Department, candidates seeking their first initial teaching certificate in all teacher certification subject areas, including educational technology and speech and language disabilities, must complete a teacher performance assessment (TPA).
The Teacher Education Unit at Buffalo State University requires that candidates’ completing student teaching, practicum, or similar clinical experience (e.g., residency, mentored in-service component) must complete their program's TPA requirement and submit it to Taskstream for evaluation.
